[Learn Japanese] Lesson 6-This is my shoes.

L6 Fundamentals

Goal:

Goal is to learn one of the joshi “no” in order to be able to say the word like “my shoes or someone’s something.

what it is:

Joshi is a Japanese particle that helps to connect with words and give meaning.    

“no” is a joshi for possession.

how to use:

Add Joshi “no” before the object, after the person/thing who owns it.

My shoes=watashi no kutsu.

This literally means watashi’s kutsu, so my shoes.

Example Phrases

Kore wa watashi no kutsu desu.

これはわたしのくつです。

This is my shoes.

Kore wa nick-no gakkou desuka?

これはニックのがっこうですか?

Is this Nick’s school?


Ano saifu wa dare-no desuka

あのさいふはだれのですか?

Whose wallet is that?
