My Favorite Tonkotsu Ramen Chain in Tokyo

Great “TONKOTSU” pork bone soup ramen stop. The pork bone soup originated from the Kyushu prefecture(south of Japan) and has the rich pork flavor but yet mild and creamy. Noodles are thin to catch the creamy soup. Some may not like the smell but huge fan base on this soup! This one is 30 seconds from the Harajuku station, and may see some lines during the lunch time but should not be so long. English menu available and you can go simple to complex on topping. The pic has slow cooked seasoned boiled egg, melt in your mouth pork belly. But if you are rookie, just start with the basic Jangara Ramen to start your Tonkotsu experience. You can also order another round of noodles (called Kaedama), it only takes a min to cook. There is also red ginger available on the table. Use it towards the end, it makes the soup and your mouth to make it more refreshing. Ramen is deep!!
