Shabuzen(しゃぶ禅) | Shibuya

  • Shabu Shabu Restaurant in Shibuya, Tokyo

  • <Web> <map>

  • Nearest Station: Shibuya Station

  • My Favorites: Shabu Shabu Set, Sashimi appetizer

This place is THE-SHABU-SHABU place. Legit.  Fine "wagyu" beef cut very thin. Some have more fat than others. Off course, there are some grades as well. Usually, fatter it gets, more expensive price becomes. You basically take a slice and let it swim in the hot broth (aka shabu-shabu), you cook it in a few second. Then, you dip in either the ponzu sauce (citrus soy sauce) or the sesame sauce to eat it. Great way to enjoy the fine Japanese beef called wagyu. Look at the beef and you know it's gonna melt in your mouth. You enjoy that for a while and you start the vegetable-shiitake mushroom, tofu, nappa cabbage and green onions and such. And you can go back to the meat or you can ask for Udon noodle to finish you meal. They use the broth for the soup which has so much flavor from the meat and veggie. Sooooo good and comfort in your stomach, especially after some drink. There are also quite selection of appetizers like sashimi and salad as well. This place is big enough so if you have some big group or even the Friday night busy time, it's great place. English menu available, and you can also make reservation from the website. Enjoy the traditional Japanese meal.

Traditional Shabu-Shabu to enjoy the Japanese meat, enjoy it here.
